Amelia Skinner Saint is an award-winning author and professor of English and writing, currently completing a PhD in Literature. After spending years in the “gray area” between problem drinking and noproblem drinking, she decided to get her shit together and write about it. Dr. Mo gave held her hand and gave her the proper terms for the vague feelings of dread and malaise that accompanied her shit-getting-together journey, and so this book was born. As Skinner continues to progress through her “fixmy-shit-forties,” she and Dr. Mo plan to keep researching and writing. She lives in Iowa with her spouse, two brilliant kids, and a menagerie of animal companions.

Dr. Melissa Dittberner holds a Master’s degree in addiction studies and a PhD in counseling psychology education. She is a researcher, professor, and harm reduction advocate, who works tirelessly as a public speaker and unofficial Narcan fairy. Dr. Mo (as she is known to her students) has lived experience with addiction, and now devotes her life to helping people stay alive so they can get well. She is the proud parent of three magnificent children, two of whom are now adults, and currently lives in South Dakota with her partner and their not-yet-adult human.
